The festival highlight

A Voice for Peace

Peacemaker. Humanitarian. Spiritual teacher.

Since 1981, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has taught breath-based meditation techniques for total well-being, touching the lives of over 1 billion people worldwide.

He developed the Sudarshan Kriya breathing technique and trained a worldwide network of more than 40,000 teachers. Numerous scientific studies today examine the method’s positive effects on stress, well-being and mental health.

As a peacemaker, he has been committed to dialogue and understanding in international conflicts for decades.

Behind the Happiness Festival is Art of Living – a non-profit organisation with 45 years of work across 185 countries, founded in 1981 by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Its goal is a stress-free, violence-free society. It works towards this through education, meditation, humanitarian initiatives and peacebuilding – from free schools and trauma relief to dialogue in conflict regions.

The evening in Munich is part of this work: a celebration of connection, peace and positive human values.

The event will be held in both German and English.

Seating is organized by ticket tier and proximity to the stage. Platinum Seating offers the closest seats to the stage, followed by Gold and Silver seating. Students and seniors are seated within the Silver category. Each tier is located progressively farther from the stage. Gold and Platin tickets include lounge access. Platin also includes the event recording and a VIP fast lane at entry.

We recommend arriving 1 hour before the event to allow time for parking, check-in, and locating your seat.

Yes. BMW Park offers wheelchair-accessible seating with space for companions, reached via a ramp with handrail, and a separate accessible entrance. If you have specific accessibility needs, please get in touch with us in advance so we can prepare the best experience for you.

BMW Park offers an on-site open-air car park (around 432 spaces) at Siegenburger Str. 65 for approximately €5 per event day. Additional parking is available at the nearby Heimeranplatz P+R car park (Garmischer Str. 19). The venue is also well connected by public transport — we recommend U-Bahn or S-Bahn for the easiest arrival.

We strongly recommend participants register online, in advance, in order to reserve a spot. Space is limited, so we encourage you to book as soon as possible.

After you register online, you'll receive a digital ticket by email. Please have this available (printed or on your phone) at the check-in desk.

Outside food is not allowed inside the venue. You can purchase vegetarian food on site.

There's no formal dress code. Wear something comfortable that lets you move and breathe freely — soft, layered clothing works best for meditation and breathwork.

There are no prerequisites. Everyone is welcome, whether new or experienced in meditation.

Participants aged 10 and older pay the student price. Children under 10 enter free of charge when accompanied by a registered adult.

Accommodation is not provided.

We know that sometimes the unexpected happens. If you can’t attend, you can simply pass your ticket on to friends or family – that way your seat won’t go to waste and someone else can enjoy the event.

Please note, however, that this is a leisure event with a fixed date. Ticket purchases are therefore binding – returns or refunds are unfortunately not possible, even in case of illness or other commitments.
